HOME OF THE

CANDY OATS & ICE CREAM ALFALFA

NOTE:  What does Alfalfa A, B, & C mean?  It does not necessarily relate to the quality of the hay, but rather identifies the usage of the hay.  This is based on nutritional values, and composition of the hay.

A ALFALFA  (This is available on a pre-order basis only)

This hay is intended for lactating animals, such as mares in foal, cattle, sheep, and goats.  Because this is a high protein hay and has a low fiber content, it should really only be fed to a multi-stomach animal.

Nutritional values:  PROTEIN: 25.7  TDN: 57.5,  FIBER: 26.1,

                                   DE Mcal/lb: 1.17

B ALFALFA (ICE CREAM ALFALFA!)

This hay has been developed to obtain more fiber for the owners that want to feed alfalfa to horses.  If you are going to feed alfalfa to horses, this is highly recommended.  This alfalfa is also good for sheep, cattle, and goats.

Nutritional Values:  PROTEIN: 20,  TDN: 55,  FIBER: 26.9,

 SELENIUM: .3, CALCIUM:  1.48, PHOSPHOROUS:  .26

                                                                        DE Mcal/lb:  1.09

C ALFALFA

This hay is medium to coarse stem.  You will find it to be a little stemier than the B Alfalfa. The TDN and nutrition is a little lower.  This can be fed to the entire spectrum of forage feeding animals.

Nutritional Values:   PROTEIN: 18.8,  TDN: 53,  FIBER: 36.1,   PHOSPHOROUS: .95

                                   DE Mcal/lb: 1.01

SPECIAL ALFALFA

This hay is a medium to course stem.  The nutritional value is lower than C, with a lower fiber content.  This hay can be fed to the entire spectrum of forage feeding animals.

Nutritional Values:  PROTEIN:  14.5,  TDN:  54,  FIBER: 36.2

                            DE Mcal/lb: .96
